No Rest: day in the life of an athlete in lockdown
Step into an athletes day during lockdown to see how they train eat and stay motivated, getting ready for sport after lockdown. This is a short documentary that reflects and showcases this athletes life in lockdown. This takes the day in the life format, going through the daily activities in her life, while talking about her relationship with the sport of cycling and how covid-19 and lockdown has had on her and her sport. Topics that will be tackled in this short piece will about motivation, how to stay motivated through this pandemic. How she found her love for cycling and how to stay fit and active during lockdown, training to a high level. We are 1 year into one of the darkest times in many peoples lives, motivation is at an all time low, with many peoples mental and physical mental heath taking a drastic hit. I want this film to help rebuild people's belief in themselves, get people motivated again. Bt showcasing an athlete's time in lockdown in this very personal format, showing how they train, talking about their own experiences with the pandemic and most importantly how they kept going and stayed motivated. With all this I hope to help people find that sporting spark again and to not give up. 'EVERYTHING WILL BE FILMED ON A GO PRO HERO 8 AND WILL BE COMPLETELY FILMED BY THE ATHLETE. THIS STYLE MEANS IT FEELS VERY PERSONAL WITH THE ATHLETE SPEAKING AT THE CAMERA AND DIRECTLY AT THE AUDIENCE. THIS METHOD IS ALSO PERFECT FOR REMOTE FILMING DURING THE PANDEMIC' Shots will vary between personal Vlog shots, to set up fixed medium shots to allow more of the athlete in when their doing stuff in their day and finally POV action shots which will be used when doing their activity (cycling)
This is a mockup website of what something like this could look like in the future. This platform is can be used to post all future Documentaries can be posted on this site. It can also update people on upcoming films and news on the athletes (like competitions they're in and events they have done well in) this is so people can stay updated on their careers There is also an Instagram made, this is where little updates can be posted and clips and trailers from films can be posted. It also opens the opportunities to make even shorter content and use the IGTV feature which allows videos that are max 15 minutes.
The design has been matched off joss’ teams kit, the use of pastel pinks and blues. This works well for the film as these colours showcase the uplifting message that my short film is trying to get across. On the right is my first mockup and used the yellow and blacks of her old bike but this was changed as I didn’t want these sharp serious colours as I didn’t feel it matched the overall subject matter
Had a really exciting opportunity When asked for my help on an EFL (English Football League) shoot for the Together against Racism Campaign. It was eye opening listening to Omar Bogle’s story and I feel so lucky to have been a part of such an important message.
I was manning the handheld camera for the interview as well as capturing B Roll and helping set up production for the shoot.

JSC COMMUCATION
I did 5 weeks gaining experience within the industry, working for JSC Communications. They have shown a lot of confidence in me. Making graphics and editing videos for their clients. I’ve found this experience very beneficial and I've learnt lots about working in a sporting setting and have enjoyed every second of my time there. Work that I've found myself doing there is creating multiple graphics for social media for Sports for Causes and Raceshares and also editing vertical videos for freebets.com and tweenhills Club 26 program.
JUST LUCY & LOCALS
I have helped a new company ‘Just Lucy and locals’ get off the ground, creating social media posts for the Instagram one of the posts being an promotional video about a minute long showcasing what they do using the only assets they had available which was at that time just a few pictures.
CRICKET CASUALS
I am currently helping get a Cricket YouTube Channel off the ground. My role consists of editing video content for YouTube, creating clips for TikTok and YouTube shorts. I also create the thumbnails for the videos. The schedule consists of one main video a month and then a TikTok released weekly.
This was a mock promo which was not used for a business but shows a mix of after effects and premiere pro which shows off the importance of combining the two programs together when creating content.
the task set for me here was to showcase the new top tracer application at this golf club and how it can be used to improve peoples golf
